Improvement of the efficiency in the feed manufacturing: VOLTEC and UdL sign agreement of collaboration in R&D

VOLTEC and UNIVERSITY OF LLEIDA have recently signed a collaboration agreement. This agreement focuses on a few Models to Optimize the Feed Manufacturing Process, developed by the Research Group in Pig together with the Department of mathematics of the UdL, under the direction of Prof. Lluís M. Plà Aragonés.

This agreement involves the creation of a synergy between UdL and VOLTEC, allowing the UdL to perform a series of field validations of the work of scientific and technical research to come up with these optimization models of the process of feed manufacturing.

In addition, these field validations will be complemented by the experience provided by VOLTEC in construction of animal feed factories and industrial process automation. In fact, fieldwork with these optimization models will be integrated into the development work of the new software M.E.S. (Manufacturing Execution System) VMES4.0, applied to the process control of feed manufacturing. One of the objectives of both parts is that, after the relevant validation, these optimization models can be integrated as an optional module in VMES4.0.

Both parts will collaborate in this validation and subsequent integration of optimization model, bringing their respective knowledge and experience in the matter. While the UdL will assume the technical and scientific management of the project, VOLTEC will be responsible for defining the technical requirements that allow correct communication between the optimization model and the VMES4.0, providing also the possibility to prove the application of this model in real cases.
