Voltec will make the automation of a new chemical plant for cleaning and sanitation products.

Voltec has been hired to carry out a “turnkey” complete automation project for the plant, including the engineering design of the application.

The new plant belonging to a major international company present in more than 70 countries, will be dedicated to the manufacture of cleaning and sanitation product for beverage, food and water treatment industries.

A Siemens PLC S-7 platform has been opted for, with distributed control over a Profibus network with 20 ET200 signal acquisition remote points and 14 operator panels that will control the entire production process, including the chemical reactors with its corresponding agitators, pumps, solenoid valves, etc. The loading, unloading and product packaging processes are also controlled.

A Siemens SIMATIC WinCC SCADA will be installed, which in conjunction with a dedicated application, will control the manufacture, stock and traceability of the production process.

As high control system, Voltec will install its MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software INTEGRA, which will control the entire production processes and is linked with the Sopura’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.

Voltec will also be responsible for the design and supply of electrification and electrical and power control cabinets of the installation, as well as sensor equipment: level, flow, temperature, etc.
