After the experience of collaboration on the plant that SOPURA CHEMICAL built in Tàrrega, the company has relied again on VOLTEC for full automation of its new plant in Seneffe, Belgium. This automation includes the engineering design of the application.
SOPURA CHEMICAL is a company dedicated to the manufacture of sanitation and cleaning products for the beverage, food and water treatment sectors, with an international presence in more than 100 countries.
For these new facilities, a Siemens PLC S-7 platform has been chosen, with distributed control over Profibus network with 18 remote signal acquisition points ET200 and 27 operator panels over Profinet network, which will control the entire production process -loading, unloading and subsequent packaging of the product. For this purpose, the plant includes 14 chemical reactors with their corresponding agitators, pumps, solenoid valves, etc.
In addition, a Siemens SIMATIC WIN CC SCADA will be installed, which together with a dedicated application will control the manufacturing, stock and traceability of the production process.
As a superior control system, VOLTEC will install its M.E.S. (Manufacturing Execution System) software INTEGRA, which will control the entire production process and link to the company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.
VOLTEC also will be responsible for the design and supply of the electrification and electrical control and power cabinets of the installation, as well as the sensor equipments: Level, flow, temperature, etc.
