VOLTEC hired pumping station in sector 1 corresponding to the work of the new Segarra-Garrigues canal.
The engineering company VOLTEC from Lleida performs automation and electrification, in low and medium voltage, the new station for the sector 1 of the draft Segarra-Garrigues irrigation pumping. The pumping station will have a total installed capacity of 1,420 kW pump and a maximum flow of 4,212 m3 / hour.
With regard to sector 1 of the irrigation project of the Segarra-Garrigues canal, it is part of the set of projected area Ponts, Oliola, Vilanova de l’Aguda and Sanaüja infrastructure and has provided water a gross total of 2374 ha. This is a sector which is included within the project of the distribution network of the Segarra-Garrigues system, aimed at transforming irrigation of about 108,000 gross ha, ha located in areas of the province of Lleida (La Noguera, Urgell, Pla d’Urgell, Les Garrigues and Segrià), estimating some resources to the whole system of 342 million m3 / year.
The control platform chosen by VOLTEC to execute this project has been LOGIX ROCKWELL ® ® of the firm, on an Ethernet network communication.
Finally, VOLTEC implement a control system to regulate the pressure and flow based on demand and for that act through five electro-centrifugal pumps; four 315 kW and over 160 kW. These electric pumps are controlled via four starters and electronic speed variator SMC POWER FLEX and FLEX, also ROCKWELL signature.
